Myth–Portraits

The Myth–Portraits series forms a bridge between ancient mythology and personal identity. These works do not simply portray mythic figures; they arise from the artist's own image, superimposed and intertwined with archetypes that live deep in cultural memory. The portraits become mirrors of a self in transformation, revealing how myth is not something distant, but something that moves through us, shaping our emotions, our stories, and our becoming.

Each painting opens a threshold where the mythological and the intimate overlap. The faces appear both familiar and timeless, as though drawn from inner memory. They show identity not as a fixed shape, but as a continuous unfolding: a dialogue between past and present, inner and outer, self and symbol.

This journey culminates in Dark Birth: Isis, where the myth of the goddess of resurrection takes on deeply personal resonance. The figure emerges from shadow, her features fractured, luminous, haunted. She carries grief, endurance, and the fierce intelligence of rebirth. The gaze is both searching and sovereign, echoing Isis' eternal quest to restore what has been lost. Here, the mythic narrative becomes a portrait of the artist's own resilience: creation born from rupture, identity reassembled from fragments.

In Myth–Portraits, the portrait becomes myth and myth becomes self-portrait. These works reveal the feminine spirit not as an ideal, but as a living force: vulnerable, unbroken, and endlessly creative.
